coreLIME - wireless sensor node

Reliable, precise, compact and versatile in use: smart sensor nodes from core sensing

coreLIME | sensor node | core sensing

The wireless sensor node coreLIME enables the time-synchronous transmission and storage of two sensors with strain gauge full bridges. In addition, integrated MEMS sensors record the rotational speed during application on a shaft and measure 3-axis acceleration up to 30g.

The integrated CPU processes the sensor data on the sensor node and thus significantly reduces the amount of data to be transmitted, resulting in energy-efficient battery operation. Processes are monitored easily and continuously thanks to the user-friendly definition of threshold values.

The measurement data and interpreted states are sent to the coreGATE gateway or directly to the coreVIEWER app using a wireless Bluetooth connection. With a connection via the coreGATE up to four sensor nodes can be connected synchronously. At the same time, all measurement data in the coreVIEWER displayed and optionally saved. The app is used to set the calibration value of the sensor node and configure the gateway outputs.

Overview of coreLIME interfaces

Functionality of the coreLIME sensor node

When connected, measurement data is recorded and transmitted directly to a smartphone or via a gateway to a process controller.

In addition to streaming mode, the coreLIME sensor node also offers two options for recording measurements. Both recording options are controlled via the coreVIEWER app, in which the sensors and sampling rates to be recorded are determined. One option is recording using a terminal device, e.g. tablet or smartphone, known as phone logging. In this case, the data is transferred to the local memory of the end device, for which there must be a permanent connection to the app via BLE. If this is not possible, the recording can alternatively be carried out on the memory of the sensor node, i.e. amplifier logging. This allows for flexible process monitoring.

The sensor node can be individually configured to the requirements of the application to enable an optimum trade-off between energy use and data acquisition.
